Rain and wind blow through

High winds blew through Anacortes Saturday afternoon and evening, causing scattered power outages. The high wind seemed to peak around 3pm, with a gust of 37 miles per hour recorded at 2:50 pm at Skagit Airport in Burlington.

Shoppers were lined up at the Moondance Farms booth at Saturday's Farmers Market, the next-to-last of this season, despite a weather forecast that called for rain and wind. In fact, the day started out sunny with a temperature around 60 degrees.
