This driver discovered that the Post Office has moved the drop box from its parking lot to Fifth St., deciding in favor of safety over convenience. But, unfortunately, to drop mail, the driver needs to be driving the wrong way on the street.
The City Council has okayed an agreement between the City Library and the Burlington and La Conner libraries which would allow Anacortes residents to check books out of the other 2 libraries.

Crowds enjoyed the work boat parade as Culbertson's Valiant steamed past before Saturday's races in the Guemes Channel. The Work Boat Races were initiated this year to add a little excitement to Shipwreck Day.
