Looks like Senator Patty Murray managed to get $3 million in federal transportation money to build a new WSF ferry terminal in Anacortes. The state had asked for $26 million for the Anacortes terminal.
The county has been allocated $750,000 in federal money to build a new ferry terminal for the Guemes Island ferry. But, the state failed to get $26 million to build a new Anacortes ferry terminal.

that a total stranger had just walked up and put 2 cases of beer into
his vehicle.
The City closed Heart Lake to swimmers on Friday afternoon because of an unusually high fecal coliform bacteria count. In fact, Jonn Lunsford, the city’s forest lands manager, said the coliform count was higher than he’s ever seen.
The state Transportation Department says roundabout construction is about half over and it could open two weeks from today. Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce is asking locals to try to patronize businesses south of 32nd St.
