Stephanie Hamilton named Chamber director

Board President Mark Bunzel said, "We are thrilled to have Stephanie guiding our chamber team forward."

The search committee went through a comprehensive selection program that started with 45 candidates. Resumes were reviewed and a 3 stage interview and situational skills process was conducted throughout December.
 
Stephanie has been the marketing director for our chamber and has been key to many of the primary projects during her past 5 years working for the Anacortes chamber. She has been the driving force behind the Waterfront Festival and started two new successful Chamber events, the Spring Wine Festival in the spring and the Oktoberfest – Beer on the Pier in the fall.
 
Stephanie’s past career included work with her own public relations and consulting firm, she was interim director of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce and was director of marketing at the Economic Development Association of Skagit County (EDASC). She also was previously chairman of the board of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

Stephanie’s educational background includes a BA in Public Relations from the Edward R. Morrow School of Communications at Washington State University and more recently she graduated from the Institute of Organizational Management, the national standard of professional leadership for chambers of commerce.
