The National Weather Service says the longest stretch of cold weather since 1990 is on the way to our area. Coming with it is a chance of snow, but the real story here is the bitterly cold temperatures expected.

A storm that the National Weather Service called “explosive” started dumping rain on Anacortes Friday morning, with high winds and snow expected to add to the weather this weekend.

Anacortes Police are looking for someone who has been killing deer in the city recently. Three deer have been found killed in the past three months.

Three boats being stored for the winter were burglarized last week, with all three owners reporting a range of items stolen, including wide-screen TVs. 

The School Board invited the public for a free breakfast at Calico Cupboard, but almost no one came. In fact, only three members of the public showed up to dine with the School Board members Thursday morning.
