The Hospital District Commissioners have approved a one-percent tax levy increase for next year, as well as a $74-million budget for the coming year. The levy increase will amount to an annual property tax hike of about $1.50 per $100,000 assessed value.
Police arrested a 38-year old woman for prowling vehicles in the area of 24th St. and H Ave. after a neighbor saw the woman prowling an unlocked truck on Monday, Nov. 8. She alerted police and then followed her as she left on foot.
