A fishing vessel sank while moored at B Dock at Cap Sante Marina. Port staff was on site managing all aspects of the response and did not require any assistance nor did they allege any crime.
An officer was dispatched to a theft complaint in the 1600 block of Skyline Way. The reporting party advised that his monthly prescription delivery from the VA had not arrived and that he was encouraged to file a police report. The man said he would have his prescriptions sent to a post office box.

An officer was dispatched to a reported vehicle prowl in the 1100 block of 9th Street. An Anacortes man reported that he saw a subject hiding in one of his vehicles in his side yard. Officers responded to the location and spoke to the homeowner, who was standing at the intersection of 9th Street and O Avenue. He stated that the man was still inside the van. The officers approached and saw the subject still in the van. Officers contacted the male in the van and could smell a strong obvious odor of intoxicants. Ultimately, officers arrested and cited the man for second-degree vehicle prowl, as the man had entered two vehicles on the property.

The reporting party was upset regarding the language on a political sign at the corner of 12th Street and Commercial Avenue. The responding officer explained to the reporting party that the subject with the sign was exercising their constitutionally protected rights.

The reporting party was in the APD lobby with a dog that had been going after chickens on his property in Skagit County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction. He was advised by dispatch that he would need to take the dog to the Humane Society. While speaking with the officer, the reporting party got a call from the dog’s owner looking for their dog. He took the dog back to them.

An officer was dispatched to a report of a fraud in the 5100 block of Sterling Drive. The reporting party stated that he was in an online chat and had lost $540. The man showed the responding officer the live chat on his phone in which the operator, claiming to be from an online store, requested that the reporting party verify his bank account by providing his card information. He showed the officer that there was now a pending charge for $540. The officer advised that the man contact his bank to dispute the charge to his card. He requested that his cards be frozen and replaced. The officer provided the corresponding case number.

An officer was driving east in the 400 block of 34th Street when he observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road with its hood up. The officer pulled in behind the vehicle and found it to be unoccupied. The license plate on the vehicle did not match the vehicle. The officer had a tow company come out to tow the vehicle, and it was impounded, as nobody stepped in to claim it.
