An officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle owned by a man with felony warrants for his arrest for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The officer initiated a traffic stop and had dispatch confirm the warrant and contacted the man, who was walking his dog. The officer placed the man under arrest and learned that the jail would not accept the man on his warrants. The officer advised that the man should contact Skagit County Superior Court first thing the next morning to get the warrant quashed, as it would still be active until he took care of it due to it being a felony non-quashable warrant.
