An Anacortes woman reported that her ex-boyfriend and his mother had telephoned her several times in violation of a domestic violence protection order.  The order prohibited the 24-year-old man from contacting the woman, including through third party contact.  The man had previous convictions for violating the order which made the new alleged violations felonies.  Police are attempting to locate the man.

An employee of a computer repair store became suspicious when a 16-year-old boy entered his business and asked for help in cracking the password to a laptop computer the boy was carrying.  Police contacted the boy and he initially said that a neighbor had “given” him the computer.  The boy eventually admitted to prowling his neighbor’s car in the 1400 block of 13th Street and stealing the computer.  The boy was placed under arrest at which time a marijuana smoking pipe was located in his pocket.  The neighbor also discovered that he was missing a gold ring from his car, and the boy admitted that he had stolen the ring and given to a female friend.  The boy was booked into juvenile detention and faces possible charges of vehicle prowling, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in stolen property.
