anacortes_police_logo.pngOfficers responded to the report of a fight in the parking lot of a lounge located in the 7600 block of State Route 20 involving several women, including one reportedly armed with a baseball bat. Officers identified women from Burlington, Mount Vernon, Bow, Sedro-Woolley, and Everett and learned that an altercation had occurred after a carload of women had dropped a woman off in the parking to ride with 2 women in another car. The larger group supposedly then “jumped” the 2 women in the other car with one of the offenders wielding a baseball bat.  The 2 women suffered bumps and scratches. The larger group denied anyone was using a baseball bat and countered that the two women had threatened them. No arrests were made at the scene and further investigation is pending in an attempt to determine what actually occurred.
