Acknowledging her new post, Lytton's letter of resignation said, "At this point in my life I’m excited to continue my efforts of advocating for young people and education in Olympia." She continued, "It has been an honor to volunteer in our schools, serve on PTA boards, and especially serve on the Anacortes School Board."
School District Administrator Chris Borgen said the district will begin advertising for a replacement very soon and hopes to review applicants by the December 9 Board meeting. Board policy allows the Board to appoint a replacement until the next regularly scheduled School Board election.
Lytton will replace state Representative Dave Quall, who decided not to run for re-election.
