Gallery Walk features new shows

The Gallery Walk is Friday, February 4 from 6 – 9 pm. 
 
Fidalgo Island Fiber Art, 713 Commercial Ave. (New Venue)
Fidalgo Island Fiber Art is dedicated to the weaving of large, one of a kind, beautiful custom rugs.  We use only the finest materials and can design hand woven rugs as large as 9 1/2' wide by any length.   Come by and see our displays, which represent only a small variety of what we do.
 
Anne Martin McCool Gallery, 711 Commercial Ave.
McCool’s gallery features sculptures by Tracy Powell, and a group show featuring all of the gallery artists including: ceramics by Cathy Schoenberg, Teri Silva & Julie De Rouche, jewelry by Kathleen Faulkner, Debbie Aldrich and Carole Cunningham, glass by Bill Tottenham and Alison Hoagland, turned wood by George Way, new oil paintings and small works by Anne Martin McCool

The gallery is showing Native Art by Native Artists. Some of the featured artists include David Boxley, Susan Point, Bill Bailey, Kevin Paul and Shaun Peterson. We carry limited Edition Prints, Carvings, Jewelry, Cedar Bark work and Selected Gift Items.

Insights Gallery, 604 Commercial Avenue
Insights Gallery presents “Travel the World with Insights”. Our annual collector’s show with new and revisted works from foreign and domestic travels by Gallery Artists.  A solo show of Italian Works in Gallery B by James Moore.
 
Scott Milo Gallery, 420 Commercial Ave.
The gallery presents “Celebration” with a variety still life work and outdoor scenes in oil by Joanne Shellan of Kirkland.  Shellan’s abundant use of color adds to the energy of each painting.  Shellan will be doing a painting demonstration at the opening reception.  Also showing are botanical oils by Mira Kamada, abstract acrylics by Richard Nash and pastels by Donna Trent.

Anchor Art Space, 216 Commercial Ave.
The new year of fantastic shows begins with a one person installation by Lanny Bergner on Friday, February 4.  In his sculptural work, Lanny uses hands on processes of coiling, fraying, twisting, wrapping, glueing and knotting to transform industrial screening, wire, silicone and mono filament into brilliant organic constructions. 

Depot Arts Center, 611 R Avenue
The Depot is featuring large format train photographs by Dick Garvey.Garvey says, "When I was very young, it was the Great Northern depot in Cashmere, Washington that I remember watching my dad work.  And it was in that depot where I first met train crews:  engineers, firemen, and brakemen."
