Employees of a clinic in the 1500 block of Commercial Avenue discovered that someone had thrown a rock through a large picture window on the northeast corner of the building. 

The Washington State Ferries trips in the San Juan Islands is fourth on a new list of the world’s top 10 ferry boat rides.

Mayor Dean Maxwell was among those who spoke recently at a rally on the steps of the state capitol aimed at saving the ferry system.
