Anacortes spoke with a near-unanimous voice in rejecting the ferry system’s Plan B to drastically cut ferry service. Ferries director David Moseley listened to Save Our Ferry chair Duane Clark tell him “Plan B doesn’t belong on the table."

Anonymous donors have made it possible for the Anacortes library to establish a new Marine Collection consisting of nearly 300 boating books, marine charts and DVDs.

There has long been a need for an adult day care center in Anacortes and now it looks like one will open this Spring.

Police were called after a customer at Jack in the Box on Commercial Ave. got upset because the restaurant wouldn’t give the customer free meals after complaining that orders on previous days weren’t filled correctly.

The Anacortes Arts Commission would like to borrow sculptures to place in public spaces around Anacortes, including along Commercial Ave. and R. Ave.
