The Port of Anacortes will break ground Friday on a $20 million toxic clean-up an area south of Cap Sante Marina and the waterfront at Seafarers Memorial Park. The Port will host a community barbeque after the ground breaking.

New Community Garden officially open

Mayor Dean Maxwell cut the ribbon officially opening the new Community Garden, located on city land between 28th and 29th streets at Q Ave. Several dozen citizens attended the opening of the 8,000 sq. foot garden Saturday morning.
