A bald eagle shattered an Anacortes police officer’s windshield as the officer was driving on Highway 20 east of town.

Three dogs mauled a 21-year old pet donkey near the corner of 32nd St. and H Ave. earlier this week. The noise from the attack woke the owner, Rosemary Orr, who reported seeing pit bulls or mixed-breed pit bulls attacking her donkey.
