Strandberg Construction workers continue top place new wood decking in place on the Tommy Thompson parkway trestle across Fidalgo Bay. The work may not be done until the end of May, a little later than originally hoped.

Police surrounded a home on 7th St. last Tuesday after a woman inside phone and said her boyfriend had a gun and was going to kill himself. The incident ended with the man asleep in the home.

Tesoro's March Point refinery will likely stay shut down until the end of June, according to a company official. The director of investor relations Scott Phipps told analysts on Friday, "There is no estimated time for restart."
