An Anacortes woman called 911 last week to report that she was following a car on Highway 20 that appeared to have a human hand and foot sticking out of the trunk.

If you haven’t received your November election ballot, you may have been ruled ineligible to vote. If you want to vote, you’ll need to call or see the County Auditor’s office on Monday, the deadline for registering.

Flounder Bay Cafe, Skyline's only restaurant, has closed it’s doors to regular dining, leaving only one other restaurant open on the West end of the island. Rumors of the impending closure had been circulating for a couple of months.

The sun was shining at the last Farmers Market of the season on Saturday. Many of the usual vendors were missing, but there was still plenty of fresh produce from area farms. The Farmers Market will be back for two Saturdays next month with the Holiday Market.
