Fireworks illegal in the city

Possession or discharge of any type of fireworks in the city is illegal. The fine for possession or discharge of fireworks is $250.00 and the ordinance is in effect 365 days a year, so there are no exceptions for the 4th of July holiday.

Fireworks are legal on the Swinomish Tribal Reservation and in the unincorporated areas of the Skagit County, with conditions. Check with the Swinomish Police or the Skagit County Sheriff's Office for specific fireworks restrictions in those area.
