A 48-year-old Coupeville man was arrested Monday on an
The man denied he was the person they were looking for and provided false identification to prove his identity. Because the physical descriptors including tattoo information given on the warrant matched the man, he was taken into custody and taken to the police department for fingerprinting. His fingerprints matched the person on the warrant and when confronted with this information the man stopped contesting his identity.
Officers received information that drugs, numerous cell phones, and computers were in his hotel room. A search warrant was served on the room and two ounces of suspected methamphetamine valued at over $3,000 was seized as well as other items police suspect link the man to criminal activity. Officer also seized the man’s vehicle and recovered further evidence of possible criminal activity in the car. The investigation is continuing.
