Arrests in beating and robbery

Late Tuesday night, an Anacortes Police officer on patrol was waived down by a man with a bloody face.  The man told the officer that he had been awakened by 3 men beating on him in his home. He told the officer that the men were friends of his roommate who were all Anacortes area residents.

Allegedly stolen were a laptop computer, a cell phone, and possibly a large amount of cash.  The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries, including a possible broken nose and released.

Anacortes Police later arrested two of the suspects while serving a search warrant at a Fidalgo Island residence outside the city limits.  Taken into custody were a 21-year old man, a 20-year old man, and a 16-year old Anacortes girl who was believed to have been in the company of the suspects at the time of the crime.  Deputies from the Skagit County Sheriff's Office assisted with the search.  The 2 men were booked into the Skagit County Jail and the girl into juvenile detention.

Anacortes Police are still seeking 2 other people in connection with this robbery: a 21-year old man believed to be the third suspect, and a 21-year old Anacortes woman who was with the suspects but exact involvement is unclear.
