Last Monday, the vehicle crossed the fog and center line several times before the officer stopped the vehicle. The driver failed physical sobriety tests, and was taken to the station for a BAC. He was cited and released to a sober adult.

Friday, June 26
A 28-year-old Anacortes man was booked into the Skagit County jail for violating a no contact order, after he attempted to gain entry into a home that the courts have ordered him to stay away from. The home owner in the 2600 block of “B” Ave, called police after seeing the man try to get in the house. The suspect was located lying in some grass a short distance away. It appeared he had been drinking. The man was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a CO2 pistol.
An Anacortes woman reported that one week ago several X-box games and a controller were taken out of her unlocked car. She believed this happened when the vehicle was parked in the 2100 block of Commercial. The total value of the items is $65.
Saturday, June 27
A 15-yea- old Anacortes boy was booked into juvenile detention following a shop lifting incident at a grocery in the 900 block of 11th St. The boy was on probation for other offenses, and his probation officer request that he be booked for violating his probation. He was also charged with shoplifting two energy drinks valued at $5 total.
A 10-year-old Anacortes girl called 911 and reported her 6-year-old friend was being yelled at and beaten by her mother, and not allowed to come outside and play. Officers contacted the mother and children at their home in the 500 block of “T” Ave. and they were all fine.
A 43-year-old Anacortes man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his 20-year-old stepson in the 1800 block of Island View Pl. According to reports the step son claimed his step father had grabbed him by throat during an argument. The suspect was also wanted in Snohomish County for Unlawful Imprisonment.
A 14-year-old Anacortes boy was arrested and released to the custody of his mother following a shoplifting incident. Officers were called back to the grocery store in the 900 block of 11th St. for another shoplifter. The boy had taken an energy drink and marijuana pipe was also located in his pocket.
Sunday, June 28
A 31-year-old man reported that he had been playing basketball in Storvik Park and during that time someone had taken a brief case he left nearby. He claimed the brief case contained medical papers and prescription medication. Believing this to be a possible false report, the officer asked that the man have his physician’s office call and verify the prescription information. No call was ever received.
Monday, June 29
A boys’ BMX style bike was taken from in front of a residence in the 3400 block of “H” Ave sometime overnight. The bike is Pacific brand Pot Shot model, valued at $120.
A 1984 Chevrolet Blazer rolled from a parking lot in the 1300 block of Commercial across 14th St and struck a 2000 Honda Odyssey van that was parked on the street. Both vehicles were unoccupied and both sustained damage. The owner of the Chevy was cited for failure to secure parking break.
A 2001 Ford F150 truck backed into a 2001 Volvo in a parking lot in the 900 block of 11th St. The owner of the truck did not have liability insurance and was cited.
