Ferry System Director David Moseley said “If enacted, this does not mean that local input would be eliminated. We would engage with elected officials who represent ferry served communities and would continue to hold public meetings.”
State Representative Jeff Morris said he has sent a letter in favor of keeping the Ferry Advisory Committees. State Senator Mary Margaret haugen said some committees just don’t work, but she added “They’re not going to go away but may be reconstituted in a different form.”
