The project, called Leeward East, is along the shoreline of Guemes Channel and the hill above. The waterfront property is close to the ferry terminal. The Commission okayed a conditional use permit and planned unit development.
The City Council will hear consider the project at it’s next meeting.
Leeward East is the second project from developer Leeward Subdivision Partners, based in Bellingham. The other project, Leeward West, was approved earlier.
