County Elections officials are suggesting that if you haven't mailed your ballot yet, you should take it directly to a drop-off rather than mailing it today.

Because all mail from Anacortes goes to Everett for processing, some mail sent today may not get postmarked by midnight. If it's not postmarked by midnight, your ballot might not be counted. So, drive by the library and drop your ballot in the Ballot Box on the north side of the library. The box is located right next to the library book/media drops.

Early election returns for Anacortes and Skagit County will be available some time after 8:15 pm at the Skagit County Auditor's Web page. Check Anacortes Now for a local roundup Wednesday morning.
