2008-1101_governor_visit.jpgGovernor Christine Gregoire is set to make a campaign appearance in Anacortes on Monday, the day before Election Day. She will be meeting with local labor leaders and Democrats.

Governor Gregoire is scheduled to arrive at the Croatian Cultural Center, also known as the Little Church, at 10:45 Monday morning for what her campaign is calling a “Meet and Greet” with U.S. Senator Patty Murray. She is scheduled to depart at 11:30.

The Governor is making a dozen stops in the last three days of her re-election campaign. Her campaign says this is part of her “Fighting for Working Families” tour. The Governor will be at The Lunchbox in Mount Vernon earlier on Monday, then participate in a campaign rally at Western Washington University in Bellingham, followed by a visit to Everett after her Anacortes visit.

First Gentleman Mike Gregoire will also be in Anacortes on Monday. He will have lunch at Whitney School and tour their birth-to-kindergarten early childhood education program. After lunch, he will tour Anacortes High School to see the efforts the school district is making to ensure that every student is college or work ready when they graduate.

The Croatian Cultural Center is at 801 Fifth Ave in Anacortes.
