Comment can also be provided at an upcoming public hearing on redistricting efforts. This hearing is the last public meeting scheduled for the redistricting process and will take place on Monday, November 22, at 2:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually over Zoom, members of the public can participate using this link: https://bit.ly/SkagitBoCCMtg. Please keep comment to under three minutes.
The November 22 public hearing is the fourth and final public meeting on redistricting. It will include an overview of proposed redrawn district boundaries and a discussion from FLO Analytics and the Skagit County Auditor’s Office on next steps. Following this hearing, the Commissioners will schedule a meeting to consider action on the proposed redrawn districts.
About Redistricting
Every 10 years, following the U.S. Census, Skagit County is required to redraw the boundaries of its Commissioner districts. This process is governed by State law.
