City of Anacortes Cooling Centers June 28, 2021
- The Maritime Heritage Center at 703 R Avenue, Anacortes. The Heritage Center is located next to the Depot and WT Preston. Hours of Operation: 12:00pm- 5:00 pm. Pet access is limited to service animals. Visitors are asked to bring their own water bottles and water supply.
- The Anacortes Public Library at 1220 10th Street, Anacortes. Hours of Operation: 11:00am-6:00pm. Pet access is limited to service animals. Visitors are asked to bring their own water bottles.
- The Anacortes Senior Activity Center (Great Room) at 1701 22nd St. Anacortes. Hours of Operation: 12:00pm- 5:00 pm. Visitors are asked to bring their own water bottles and water supply.
The Spray Pad at Storvik park at 1110 32nd St, Anacortes, WA 98221 will be open until 8:00pm.
It is extremely dangerous to leave children and animals in parked vehicles, even if windows are open or cracked. Please see the link for a for a full list of heat safety tips. Heat related illnesses are very serious and can result in death. Confusion, slurred speech, or unconsciousness are signs of heat stroke. When these types of symptoms are present, call 911 immediately and cool the individual with ice or cold water until help arrives.
