A planned shutdown of the city’s water treatment plant and the supply of water to its transmission system is scheduled for mid-week next week.

The shutdown will be from 8 am to 8 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 4. The reason for the shutdown is to make connections to a new secondary raw water line, which will bring water from the Skagit River to the plant.

Water customers should not experience any interruption in normal water service. However, because of the length of the shutdown, we encourage you to practice water conservation measures throughout the day.

If you have any questions or concerns about the planned shutdown, please call 360-428-1598 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
