Skagit County on Monday confirmed 22 new COVID-19 cases since Sunday in what appears to be the largest day-to-day increase since counting started here.
No new deaths have been reported, however, and the number of patients hospitalized as a result of the coronavirus remains at nine. The number of deaths stands at three.
The state of Washington, meanwhile, is reporting 4,896 confirmed coronavirus cases with 195 deaths. The state says more than 65,000 individuals have been tested, with about 7.5 percent positive.
