Skagit County says the number of coronavirus cases nearly doubled overnight from 18 reported on Thursday to 26 on Friday. Three patients have been or are being treated in area hospitals. But, no deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, the state updated the statewide count to 81 deaths from 1,512 cases. The setate says roughly 3,500 coronavirus tests are being done daily in Washington state.

King County reported 100 new cases, including seven new deaths, moving the total King County death count to 67.

Snohomish County announced 37 new cases on Friday, including one new death.
