Phase III installs 28,000 feet of buried fiber optic cable and approximately 500 feet of overheaad fiber optic cable.
The project connects five city owned facilities, including 3 sewer pump stations, 1 water pump station and Fire Station 2.
The project will include trenching, micro-trenching, and boring in the west end of the City, will be constructed by Robinson Brothers Construction, and managed by NoaNet.
The new west end extension will cost about $950,000. bringing the amount spent to around $2 million on the fiber project.
Construction will take approximately 60 days to complete. Construction will typically be from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary. During construction there may be partial road closures and traffic detours to allow for the work.
