Anthony’s at Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes hosted their annual Community Benefit Dinner for the Anacortes Rotary Club earlier this month where they helped raise $20,000 to go towards community and educational programs in Anacortes.

Every year, Anthony’s at Cap Sante Marina closes its doors and donates all of their service, food, chefs and the use of the restaurant to host the attendees of this dinner so that all of the ticket proceeds can go directly to the Rotary.

“We have been doing the Anthony’s dinner since 2011 and in those nine years we have raised more than $170,000 to fund a wide array of community needs,” says Bonnie Bowers, Anacortes Rotary Club President. “This is something we would not be able to do without the great support from Anthony’s and all of their team members.”

“It is an honor to host this event every year for the Anacortes Rotary Club,” says Herb Gould, CEO of Anthony’s Restaurants. “We love being a part of this community and to be able to help contribute to education and assistance programs for the Anacortes community is very important to us.”

“Anthony’s puts together a special gourmet menu and their staff members take very good care of all guests,” says Stephanie Hamilton, Rotary President Elect. “It is a fun, first-rate dinner for more than 150 people, an outstanding night for Anacortes and a cornerstone for our club’s charitable giving.”

The six beneficiaries of the 2019 dinner are:

Anacortes Public Library: new stackable folding chairs for the Library tech tables

Fidalgo Danceworks: financial support for classes to support autism movement and Parkinson’s Disease therapy

Anacortes Waterfront Alliance: sailboat purchase for the youth learn-to-sail program

Anacortes Middle School: funding for equine therapy sessions for special needs

Island View Elementary Special Education: equipment for like skills/autism class

Anacortes Middle School Escape Room Night: props and supplies for sixteen student teams

Since the inception of this annual community dinner in 2001, Anthony’s has helped raise over $150,000 for the Anacortes Rotary Club.
