The city Public Works Department is moving forward with the 2017 M Waterline Replacement Project as part of the City’s waterline replacement program, starting after the Labor Day weekend.

The City has contracted with Larry Brown Construction, Inc. to replace the water main on M Avenue from 32nd to 35th Streets.

The waterline replacement work is expected to begin September 5 and could take up to 3 weeks to complete. Construction will typically be from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary.

During construction, there will be traffic detours and road closures to allow for the work.

"Thank you in advance for your patience during construction as we make these needed improvements to our water system," the city's announcement says.
