The city's Public Works Department is moving forward with a project to resurface Heart Lake Road, with construction to begin this Friday, April 28.

The Contractor will have approximately 20 workdays to complete the project. Construction will typically be from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary. During construction, there will be temporary traffic control, road closures, and traffic detours to allow for the work. The road will be closed Monday through Friday, and open during the weekends.

The project provides for improvements of Heart Lake Road to repair cracks, remove potholes, install new asphalt patching, crack sealing, and shoulder dressing in preparation for a cape seal project scheduled for this summer.

The project will be for the entire section of Heart Lake Road from the city limits to the south and to H Avenue on the north end.
