Both directions of Chuckanut Drive between Pacific Rim Drive (milepost 12) and Fragrance Lake Road (milepost 14) will remain closed through the weekend due to a rock slide near the Samish Overlook.
Drivers heading northbound should turn east onto Colony Road, follow it to Lake Samish Road to access northbound I-5, then take the Old Fairhaven Parkway exit (250) to 12th Street to return to SR 11/Chuckanut Drive to avoid having to turn around.
Drivers heading southbound should take Old Fairhaven Parkway, to southbound I-5, take exit 240 to Lake Samish Road and follow Colony Road to return to SR 11/Chuckanut Drive.
There's currently no estimated time for reopening. Crews will reassess the hillside on Monday, March 20, 2017.
