Skagit Transit has installed a new covered bike shelter at the March Point Park & Ride. The $16,000 shelter was paid for using a state Transport Alternative Program grant.
Liz McNett Crowl, Skagit Healthy Communities Coordinator for Skagit Regional Health, told me in an email, “Over the years I have repeatedly been contacted by bicyclists who felt that a rack was needed at this location. Individuals told me that they are interested in riding to the Park & Ride and being able to safely park their bike and ride a bus to their destination.”
The shelter was installed by Skagit Transit, which operates the park & ride facility.
