As part of the 2016 inflow and infiltration reduction program, the City is moving forward with the 2016 Commercial Avenue Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.

The project will consist of lining by Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) approximately 4800 LF of clay sanitary sewer pipe from 3rd to 9th Street on Commercial Avenue and at each half block on either side of Commercial Avenue from 3rd to 9th Street.

The Construction is expected to begin in the first week of October and be completed by the middle to end of the month. Due to the nature of this work, the contractor will be utilizing the evening hours to try and minimize the impact of sanitary sewer disruptions. The evening hours will typically be from 8:00pm to 6:00am. As part of the installation process, there could be a disruption of sanitary sewer service for up to 8 hours during this time. The contractor will attempt to give an advance notice of 24 hours prior to any required sanitary service disruption.

During construction, there will be traffic detours and intermittent road closures to allow for the work.
