Dale Fowler, Marina Director and Harbormaster at Cap Sante Marina, is retiring after nearly 29 years of service to the Port. Brad Johnson has accepted the position of Interim Harbormaster at the marina.

Brad is being promoted from within as Marina Operations Supervisor to Interim Harbormaster. He has been with the Port since 2001, and brings a wealth of experience to the job.  Brad has an outstanding reputation both in the community, and at the Port. He will start in this position Wednesday, April 20th, and begin the turnover with Dale Fowler immediately. 

Dale’s last day is Saturday, May 7th, and we will celebrate his retirement at our Opening Day of Boating Season event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Marina’s Central Pier. The public is invited! 

One other change announced by the Port: The Port’s newly created position of Director of Planning, Properties, & Environmental has been accepted by Brenda Treadwell. Brenda is an Anacortes native with a unique combination of education and experience. She comes to us from the Department of Natural Resources where she Worked in a number of positions for the past nine years, most recently as the Aquatic Resources District Manager. Brenda has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon School of Law.
