Among those planning to attend are Sylvia Johnson McKee, the daughter of the popular Principal and teacher, Arnell Johnson; Mark Carlson, the great-great grandson of Almina Griffin, the first teacher at the school and grandson of Martha Griffin Mankins, a long-time teacher at the school; Floyd Lunsford a former teacher; and students who attended from about 1930 until the school closed to make way for the refineries.
The reunion is a potluck lunch affair at the Summit Park Grange at 8716 Stevenson Road, Anacortes, beginning at about 10:30 AM. A collection of old school photographs from the Anacortes Museum will be on display. Anyone having photos is requested to bring them to be scanned and added to the collection.
