Anacortes PD is pleased to announce the second annual National Night Out event at Storvik Park in Anacortes on Tuesday, August 4th.

Anacortes PD has joined forces with several emergency response organizations in our area to offer the citizens and guests of Anacortes an opportunity to strengthen community and emergency response relationships. Our goal of citizen safety will be achieved in part by offering interactive learning opportunities for event participants.

The event will include demonstrations by local emergency response organizations including a bike rodeo hosted by members of the Anacortes PD Bike Patrol Unit. Over 16,000 communities throughout the world will participate in this ongoing effort to prevent crime. We hope to see you there!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. Together, we are making that happen.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.
