Firefighters sprayed foam at a traffic accident in which a former school bus had been converted to a camper rolled onto its side, blocking eastbound lanes of Highway 20 at Sharpe’s Corner on Tuesday morning.
Because fuel was leaking from the vehicle, firefighters sprayed foam, prompting a longer cleanup operation.
Westbound traffic was stopped intermittently during the cleanup, which took several hours.
The state Department of Transportation responded and estimated about 20 gallons of fuel spilled.
There were two people in the vehicle and according to the State Patrol, they received minor injuries.
