2014 1023 school levy

The school district, in effort to gain public support for a February bond vote, has scheduled a neighborhood meeting, a community presentation and three public tours of the high school.

AHS Neighborhood Meeting
January 7, 2015 at 5:30-6:30
ASD Board Room, second floor of the middle school.
This meeting will be for residents living in the vicinity of AHS to address their particular concerns around impact to the neighborhood. This meeting is open to the public.

Community Facilities Presentation
January 14, 2015 at 7pm
Anacortes High School
This meeting will follow the public tour of the high school set for 6pm. This is an informational meeting for the public.

  • Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 12:00pm
  • Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 6:00pm

The bond money would be spent on 60 percent construction of new classrooms, a commons area and library, with 40 percent for renovation of the gym, Brodniak Hall and music rooms.

The classrooms would be built on what is now War Memorial Field. Rice Field would be upgraded to accommodate sports which has been taking place on War Memorial Field.
