The drill was designed to allow police responders and hospital staff to train should a violent incident arise on the hospital grounds.
The drill was invisible to most visitors to the hospital as it took place inside a doctor’s office then the people who played injured were moved from the doctor’s office to ER by ambulance.
All a visitor might see were signs indicating a drill was taking place as well as the so-called victims were wheeled into the Emergency Room.
Anacortes Police and Fire departments took part in the drill.
