Lakeside’s bid was $232,458.50 for the job, under the city engineer's estimate of $250,000.
City Public Works Director Fred Buckenmeyer said funds are coming from the city’s street overlay budget for the year.
City Council Member Ryan Walters asked about the possibility of painting bike lanes on the street, since it leads to a major crossing of the Tommy Thompson Trail. Buckenmeyer said it might be possible to add bike lane markings.
