Three fire crews were called to put out a fire on Sugarloaf, in the Anacortes Forest Lands over the weekend, according to Jonn Lunsford, with the city's Parks & Recreation Dept.

From Lunsford: Thanks to crews from the Anacortes Fire Department, Mt. Erie Fire Department and DNR fire crews for containing the half-acre fire on Sugarloaf. The fire was called in Sunday and crews have been working on it since. 

It is nearest to trail 26 (aka Nettle Alley), so if you see fire engines or smell smoke in that area, this fire is the likely culprit. The likely cause of this fire was a campfire in the woods.
