You ned to keep the new trash totes at least 3 feet away from anything else. Big automated arms are used to lift the containers and less than 3 feet could cause trouble, prompting the driver to get out of the truck. The arrows on the trash containers should face the street.
The city says not to use bungee cords to keep the top on any more. And, the city is asking that you use trash bags in the containers to help prevent fly-away debris.
Public Works Director Fred Buckenmeyer says customer response has been very good.
