The city Public Works Department is moving forward with a paving project. The project includes an asphalt overlay of both travel lanes of “Q” Avenue from 11th Street to 21st Street; road striping will follow.
The project is expected to begin June 16th and be completed by July 3rd, 2014. Construction will typically be from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary. Detours around this project may be in place at times, and there may be flagging, lane closures, and slower than normal traffic during construction.
The city will be installing a portable message sign at 10th Street and at the HWY 20 northbound exit the week of June 2, alerting of upcoming detours and possible road closures.
The project will cost about $250,000.
