Happy 100th!

Folks who have been in town a while will remember Russ’s machine shop in the red brick Semar Building which stood where the City Hall parking lot is now. Always working on several projects at a time, Russ still spends many hours in his home shop, where he is currently building his second steam automobile. But since he gave up driving at the age of 99, you’ll see him piloting his bubble-enclosed cart around town for daily transportation.

The day Russ was born, Babe Ruth played his first professional game. Imagine the changes he has seen in the past century. Always full of good humor and willing to try something new, he pulls out his iPad to keep in touch with family and friends near and far.

Happy Birthday Russ. No doubt you’ll find new challenges as you start your second century.
