Passenger-Only service, provided by Arrow Launch Services, will be available all weekend and will continue to operate on the ferry's regular sailing schedule.
There is a small craft advisory in effect for this area. The passenger-only service may be delayed at times due to wind, waves in the channel and rough conditions at the landings. At this time, we are advising folks to stay home unless you absolutely need to travel.
If all of the repairs go as planned and the Coast Guard approves the work, it is anticipated that the car ferry will be back in operation beginning Monday, March 17, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. Any updates to this information will be sent, via email, as we know more.
The #2 main engine had extensive damage to its top end. There are several parts that needed to be replaced that were not available locally. In addition, some of the parts have been delayed on shipment. This has been very frustrating for everyone involved and we certainly understand the inconvenience this has caused our ridership.
