The Anacortes Arts Commission - Interested individuals should have a background or interest in the arts and time to actively lead and participate in Commission projects. The Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month at 4 pm at the Anacortes Library meeting room. There are openings for
an adult member and a high school student.
Anacortes Historic Preservation Board - meets monthly on third Tuesdays at 9 am at the museum research library. Applicants must reside within the city limits of Anacortes and have a demonstrated interest and competence in historic preservation and possess qualities of impartiality and broad judgment. The Board
sponsors the House History program, the Anacortes Register of Historic Places, historic house surveys, and historical interpretive signs.
The Board of Adjustment - the board consists of five members and two alternates with meetings heId the fi rst Thursday of the month at 7pm as needed. Interested individuals should have an understanding of zoning. The Board currently has openings for the two alternate positions.
